These functions start the same tool with different type preallocation. A type switch can be carried out subsequently at any time via the context bar in the interactive environment.

A maximum of 10 hoods can be constructed with one call.

The dart/ pleat hood tool is suitable for continuous contour lines also between the dart legs and for gaps in the contour line.

Step-by-step guide

Select tool from the Toolbar.
Activate / deactivate autostart and cyclic in the context bar .
Select a contour line for cutting out with respect to the right principle For certain construction processes, it is necessary to define what is the start and the end of a line. The line receives a direction. Grafis supports the user with the so-called "right principle cursor" which additionally has a direction indicator.
Select first dart leg

For gaps in the contour: select contour line between the darts
Select further dart legs
Adjust interactively

Initially, all hoods generated with the tool are created equal. The goods can then be adjusted interactively. The fold type, the hood type, the fold length and the position of the drillhole can be adjusted. Hood type and fold direction can be adjusted interactively for each hood.
