The not interactive functions
link simple single
and
link simple chain
are used for connecting lines where the gap between the lines is closed with a straight line. Linking lines is required when two or more lines are supposed to be treated as one during further construction steps.
Having activated one of the functions, the following context menu opens:
- select tool from Toolbar
- click the lines to be linked with consideration of the right principle
For certain construction processes, it is necessary to define what is the start and the end of a line. The line receives a direction.
Grafis supports the user with the so-called "right principle cursor" which additionally has a direction indicator.
The clicked lines are displayed in a different colour. - if required, correction via clicking on reset link

- terminate linking with right-click or deposit

- link further lines or quit the menu with

With this function, all tangential consecutive line (without kink) are linked automatically in one step.

Each line object has an internal direction. With this function, the direction of a line is altered. This function is usually required only after corrections in mother parts.
Line directions are relevant for example for creating parallels and for measuring partial lengths, relative lengths and directions in relation to the line.
Step-by-step guide-
Select tool from the Toolbar.
- click line for which the direction is to be inverted
- quit the function with exit
or right-click
A preview of the current line direction appears as soon as the cursor is positioned near the respective line.
The line direction is also displayed outside a function when pressing the <STRG> key and touching the line.
