Points
Point between two points on a line
GRAFIS works with the construction objects point and line. The point tool generates a single point object in one of the listed construction variations.
General step-by-step guide
-
Select tool from the Toolbar.
-
Activate / deactivate autostart
and
cyclic
in the
context bar
. - assign values if required
- if
autostart
active: adjust construction interactively - if
cyclic
active: execute construction again
Click the following point objects:
- Construct point position with the sub-menu point construction
With this variation, a point is constructed at a relative position between two base points. No base line is required. The position is determined relative to the first base point.
Click the following objects:
- construct the first fulcrum with sub-menu point construction
- construct the second fulcrum with sub-menu point construction
point between two points on a line
The new point is constructed on the base line at a relative position between two base points. The distance between the base points is measured along the line.
Click the following point objects:
- construct the first fulcrum with sub-menu point construction
- construct the second fulcrum with sub-menu point construction
Functions of the context bar
If this button is active, the drag points of the active construction can be adjusted. Depending on the drag area, different drag points are available.
With this function, an existing displacement line can be deselected or a new displacement line can be selected . If the function is active, the points / lines for which a displacement line can be selected or deselected are marked. The cursor symbol indicates whether a displacement line already exists
or not
. Any line of the active part can be selected as displacement line. The right principle must be considered, as this determines the move direction.
The base line function exists only for the point tools. It is only active for the types
point between two points
and
point between two points on a line
. Clicking on
marks the point for which a base line can be selected or deselected. The cursor symbol indicates whether a base line has already been defined
or not
. Any line of the part can be defined as base line. Selecting or deselecting a base line automatically changes the type.
An interactive
point
or
point between two points
can be switched to the other type at any time after calling. Clicking on one of the two buttons in the
context bar
starts the click process where either a singe point
switch type: point
or two base points
switch type: point between two points
are to be re-defined.
With click new, the entire click process is gone through again. The basic elements of the active function, e.g. points, lines, directions are queried one after another. You can decide separately for each basic element whether to retain it or set it again. A right click accepts the original position/ setting.
