These functions start the same tool with different type preallocation. A type switch can be carried out subsequently at any time via the context bar in the interactive environment.
Step-by-step guide
  • Select tool from the Toolbar.
  • Activate / deactivate autostart and cyclic in the context bar .

    assign values if required

  • Set the starting point with the sub-menu point construction
  • for move and move from point to point : set the end point with the sub-menu point construction
  • for move with direction : adjust the direction with the sub-menu direction construction (set the basic direction, adjust difference direction)
  • activate / deactivate copy
  • select objects to be transformed
  • alter number of transformations if required
  • interactively adjust the transformation if required
For some tools, the displacement line is not automatically active. It can be set at any time with the function displacement line .

move

This move function with pre-set values requires the entry of the move value in x direction (dx) and y direction (dy). A detailed explanation on the co-ordinate system can be found in Geometric basics. The move values can be positive or negative:

dx= - ... to the left

dy= - ....mm downwards

dx=+ ....mm to the right

dy=+ ....mm upwards

move from point to point

The objects are moved along the connecting line between two points of the construction.

move with direction

The objects are moved about the connecting line, beginning at the starting point in a constructed direction.
